Stanthorpe Cup Day is almost here!

Countdown to Cup Day - Saturday 21st October 2017

For every country racing enthusiast, a great day out combines the thrill and colour of racing with the opportunity to socialise in a relaxed outdoor carnival atmosphere.

Each spring the action moves to Stanthorpe's Armstrong Park on the Granite Belt. Here in the Queensland wine capital, the Stanthorpe Cup has established a firm place on the annual social calendar for locals and visitors alike. The mix of keen racing, fashion, marquee lunches and the chance to sample some of Queensland's finest wines are key elements of this big day out.

Racing began in the former tin mining town in 1872 and since then it has experienced its share of highs and lows. Challenged at times by war, drought and equine influenza, nothing has quashed the locals' love of this annual social event. In recent times, many tourists have planned their visit around Cup day, and once experienced, they return year after year.

The Stanthorpe Cup is a one of many events during the Spring season in the Granite Belt, so early booking is recommended.

Admission $20.00 per person (Under 16 Free)

Reserved Marquee Lunch $40.00 per person - ( Served at 1.00pm approximately, Lunch is cold Buffet Style. Seating is for the day and Marquee runs parallel to track)

Reserved Marquee Seating $12.00 per person (Seating is for the day and Marquee runs parallel to track)

Picnic Baskets are welcome although we are not licensed for BYO Alcohol

Local Ballandean Estate Wine Tent on course.

5 Local Races – (First race will be approximately 1.35pm)

Strong Bookmakers Ring on Local, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne & Adelaide races (We don’t have a Tote Facility)

Free Bus Service from town to Course and Return

Live Music from 5.00pm until 8.00pm
